Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) Report

The Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) Program was founded in 2001 as a multi-donor partnership between seven donor agencies and international financial institutions to assess the condition of country public expenditure, procurement and financial accountability systems and develop a practical sequence for reform and capacity-building actions. A Steering Committee comprising these agencies manages the Program, while the Secretariat implements the PEFA activities.

I am pleased to invite you to a discussion and the launch of the Myanmar translation of the book "Time to Listen, Hearing People on the Receiving End of International Aid, Thursday 23rd May 10'00 to 12'00 at the LRC. The Local Resource Center and the INGO Forum invites you to hear more and to discuss evidence and analysis published in “Time to Listen.” This could be the opportunity to discuss "the implications from what we have heard people across the 20 countries we visited, particularly given the transition occurring in Burma/Myanmar and the influx of aid agencies", quoting Dayna Brown. Dayna Brown, the Director of the Listening Program at CDA Collaborative Learning Projects will present some of the findings from the Listening Exercise led by CDA in Burma/Myanmar in 2009, which is part of the evidence base for the book.
